Windows 10: my external keyboard is acting weird

hi, im using windows 11 and about 3-4 days ago, my keyboard is acting weird, i dont know what the problem is, but my shift key is typing 'n', tab 'u', capslock 'h', and backspace is '7' and sometime not erasing but can erase at blocked words, and enter is also typing 'h', more over del button is typing '[' and insert button is typing '-'. seems like most of the utility button on my external keyboard is getting out of control, i tried reinstalling the driver but its no use. please help im using windows 11 home single languange ver 21H1

I realize that you are facing issues with the keyboard on your PC. I will try to help you with this issue.

Suggest you to plug in an external keyboard to the laptop to check if that helps.

Further you may also use the onscreen keyboard to check if that helps.

Follow these steps to launch the On-screen keyboard:

  Press Windows key + R to get the run window.
  
• 
  Type “osk” and hit enter to launch the On-screen keyboard and check if this helps.

Keyboard acting weird

I installed an external keyboard to my laptop. It is a logitech K220. It was working perfectly for\cn1`h 4-5 months and now it acts strange. I press a key and something else happens. For example the following is shown pressing the letter "ρ" .

ρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρψν1`\ψν1`ρψν1`\1`\'ρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρρψν1`\ψ<η]\`'ρψν1`\\'πψν1`\ρρρρρρρρρρ

I already deleted and reinstalled the device, same with languages, change batteries and disabled Hot keys. I use windows 10 and the keyboard is still in perfect condition. Also the problem is not always present as you can see.

 

Keyboard weird.

I had a problem where apostrophes would transpose and question marks would have a plus sign in front of them.

It was absolutely doing my head in.

I glanced at something that suggested WINDOWS KEY plus SPACE BAR.

I tried it and that half solved the problem. Then I did SHIFT plus CONTROL and that cured the problem completely.

If anyone else has a keyboard acting weirdly all of a sudden where.............

Don't becomes do'tn.
You're becomes yo'reu.

and other weird shit happens...............MICROSOFT BUTTON plus SPACE BAR might just be the solution along with CTRL plus SHIFT.
