Windows 10: My File explorer keeps popping up for no reason

The File explorer keeps popping up every 10-12 minutes without reason when connected to charger. 1 No external hard disks connected neither usbs.2 Antivirus Scan done3 Explorer.exe restarted4 Autoplay turned off5 Checked for corrupted System files that sfc / scannow nonsense6 Malware Scan also doneNow, each time it happens the system gets slower

To assist you better, I would like to know the make and model of the computer.

This issue may arise due to following reasons:

• Changes in folder settings.
• Few computer brands has this issue.
• System file error.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps to resolve the issue.

• Open File Explorer.
• Click on View.
• Click on Options.
• Click on View tab.
• Make sure that Restore previous folder Window at logon is not checked.

If the issue persists, System File Checker (SFC) is a utility in Microsoft Windows that allows users to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files. Perform System File Check (SFC), and then check
if this fixes the issue.

• 
  Press the Windows button + X on your keyboard, a mini dialogue box will appear.
  
• 
  Choose Command Prompt (Admin). You must run the command prompt in Administrator level.
  
• 
  On the command prompt type sfc /scannow and hit enter.
  
• 
  If everything went okay and no errors were found, restart your computer and see if the issue re-occurs.

File explorer keeps crashing in Win 10

I did the steps you wrote. All the settings were as you suggested. The File Explorer keeps crashing.

 

File explorer pops up when leaving full screen

I understand how frustrating it can be when it pops up every time while you access other applications and games. However, we can quickly check with the task manager and see if you are able to resolve the issue.

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned by Krishna Prasobh V dated
