Windows 10: My file explorer remains partially white when I use dark mode.

As you can see in the above picture, my file explorer as well as certain right-click menus appear incorrectly colored in dark mode, which makes them extremely difficult to read.I've attempted numerous fixes; rebooting my system, using high contrast that somehow only made the graphics appear more corrupted instead of fixing anything, re-installing graphics card drivers, running system repair. All did absolutely nothing.Please help. It's not by any means a major problem and I can still use dark mode for the most part, but it is a serious eyesore and sometimes a big inconvenience.

File explorer in dark theme gone!

There was an option for choosing dark mode. I followed both suggestion above to the letter. But it did not fix the problem. Only Explorer is white. Which was the behavior before 1809.

Yes, search color settings and scroll to the very bottom and change your default app mode to "dark". File explorer will remain white.

 

Partial Dark Mode??

I can not figure out why my computer sometimes shows things normal and sometimes in a partial dark mode? Have looked into dark mode settings it they are all off. I have toggled them with no luck. My battery just died while it was showing normal then when I turned it on, it opened things in this partial dark mode is the best way I know how to describe it.
