Windows 10: My file Went Missing After Cancelling A File Replacement, How can I Fix It?

Recently, I was Transferring A MP4 To My D: Drive And It Had Copied File So I Thought It Hadn't Transfer So I Did It Again And It Gave The Option To Replace The File And I Clicked But Then 2 Seconds Later Pressed Cancel. Now The Original File Is Missing And The File In My D: Drive Is Corrupted. Is There Any Way I Can Get The Video Back?

missing ntdlr file

hi. i recently tried to update xp service pack 2 to service pack 3, but for some odd reason it stopped half way and wouldnt finish. so i cancelled and restarted my computer. Well when i restarted it, xp wouldnt boot and it kept saying "File ntdlr is missing. press control + alt + delete to restart" (I believe that is the correct file name)

so if you do that it just continues to make a circle. is there any way i can use my xp disk to repair and add this file. if so, how?

or is there any alternate options.

opening .dds files with gimp

Simply, HOW? I got the DDS plugin but the POS wont open DDS files still. Can someone give me a step-by-step rundown of how to install the DDS plugin for gimp so I know if I'm missing something?

 

BAT file/Script to find and replace files

Hey all....

Can someone help me make the BAT script in the 2nd post above to be able to use MORE than "1" file?
As it currently is, you can only replace one particular file.

For example, I want in the command line to be able to write two files or more, and the script will find and replace all those 2 or more named files.

P.S.... Is there a GUI that does file searching and replacing?
I've spent hours searching on the net, and the only thing I can find are "text" search/replace and this BAT command, not actual "file" replacing. I find this amazing. *Frown
