Windows 10: My files disappeared after a resetting that I said save files.

I had to reset my laptop with Windows 11 because after a Windows update, my laptop failed to recognize the adapter charger in its normal port. During the installation, the battery died. I only thought today to try to see if another port would charge the battery. It did. There was a problem with starting the computer because of the disruption in the installation. I finally got it sorted - I had asked the reset to save my files very precious. When I opened Documents, there were done there. There were no files/folders of mine anywhere.I had both Lenovo and Windows people try to help but both

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

  Are you trying to save the email attached file? Please elaborate.
  

If you are using Outlook email, let’s try simple steps and check if it helps. Try the below steps provided.

Step 1.

If you want to save only the attached file from the email, try the below step.

• 
  Right click on the attached file and click on Save as.
  
• 
  Now select a folder location where you want to save the attached file.
  

Step 2.

If you want to save the file along with the email try the below steps provided.

• 
  Open the mail you want to save and click on File on the top of the right side.
  
• 
  Click on Save As and select a folder location where you want to save the email.

Batch Files Knowledge Base

Don't use batch files very much but one I find useful is for creating a list of files in a directory.
Just copy the text below into Notepad and save as Filelist.bat

dir /a /-p /o:gen >filelist.txt

When you run it from a folder it will create a Filelist.txt file,in the same folder, that lists all the files in that folder.Useful when you are too lazy to type all the files out yourself.
