Windows 10: My Files on OneDrive Got Deleted After Formatting

Hello, i was having a problem with the network adaptor not connecting to the internet after updating to Windows 2004 Version and tried every solution there is but nothing worked so i decided to format my C drive. i have files saved to the OneDrive's folder knowing its saved to the cloud since its in the folder i didn't bother backing them up on my hard disk so i began formatting and i wiped everything clean. after i installed windows i noticed all my files arent there anymore i went to the onedrive website and still didnt come up?!

are all my files got deleted permanently? and if i deleted files from my folder will it get deleted from the cloud as well?


i tried one of the methods to restore back my data by clicking on Settings > Restore Your OneDrive but as soon as i click it it direct me to this page

i also would like to point out my files on OneDrive's folder had a cloud picture next to them so i guess they should've been on the cloud!

Delete VS Format

When you delete a file, the OS has to do a number of checks and remove or modify a number of things for each file that is being deleted. This could be thousands of files.
When you format it just whacks everything.

AsRock is right, if you don't care about the check, just QF and move one.

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
