    My fingerprint reader no longer reads fingerprints


    A few days ago my fingerprint reader stopped recognizing my fingerprint. I tried to add a new one to see if it was just a problem with one finger, but it can't read anything anymore. When I try to unlock my computer it says that the reader can't recognize the fingerprint any time I try to use it. I still have the option to add more fingerprints, but the reader itself is unable to read anything. I don't have any updates available for anything either. I tried the uninstall and reinstall thing, but it never fully uninstalled. Then I tried to just disable it and turn it back on, but that still did

    My fingerprint reader no longer recognizes my fingerprint

    My fingerprint reader no longer recognizes my fingerprint on my HP laptop with Windows 11. I also have a pin number but it is secondary to the fingerprint. Can I set the pin to be the 1st and primary way to logon to my HP. Please help.

    OK Sorry but that is all I can do. I have never used a Fingerprint Reader. Have you tried the manufacturer's website for an update?
