Windows 10: My folder alway open on a secondary monitor HDMI

First of all I am super piece by this company YES Microsoft who pretend to bring innovation which actually just a big piece of cosmetic **** on top of pile of **** which is the succession of all windows since 7.I have a 3 screen configurations. 1 HDMI, 2 DP. Primary is on DP.Can you explain to me why since last update of windows, EVERYTIME I open a folder, it is opened my HDMI monitor.YES my drivers are UP TO DATEYES I have tried to disconnect my monitor and reconnect it.WE are now in 2023 and windows was never so bugged since millenium. How can a company being so incapable of selling bug fr

Setting Up A Older Secondary Monitor

ok decided to reopen in the hopes someone might have a solution for a new issues i noticed. when i do a restart the secondary monitor takes over, and not until windows is about to go to the desktop does the secondary monitor turn off and the primary display turn on. i would think there is some way to make the default monitor stay on during a reboot. any suggestion would be great. thanks

I understand that you are unable to get the secondary display working when connected through HDMI cable.



I would suggest you to try connecting the monitor using a VGA cable and check if the display is working on second monitor. Also, you can try updating the NVidia drivers from the

manufacturer’s website.



As you have mentioned that you have tried changing some settings in NVidia control panel, in order to save your time by not asking you to follow the same steps, I would like to know the settings you have tried to change. Also, I
would like to know the make and model of the PC.

Apologize for the difficulties that you have been put through regarding this issue. Do let us know few more details for better understanding:

What exactly happens when you try to display the picture on the secondary monitor?

Did you try connecting to a different monitor and check if the issue persists?

We suggest that you unplug the HDMI cable and connect it back to a different HDMI port on the secondary monitor in case if there's one extra and check.

Also check if there is any device conflict in the Device Manager when the Secondary Monitor is connected.
