    My folder name of powershell is garbled text


    The path is this one "C:\Users\username\OneDrive\???\WindowsPowerShell".Notice that the question marks here are actually replacement characters i.e. unicode "U+FFFD".Although the powershell is fine, this issue still bothers me.By the way my system is windows11 and my language setting is traditional Chinese.

    Garbled text

    In emails or texts, the text appears garbled, or the words do not form completely. This happens in receiving messages, also on FB and other applications. It does NOT happen when composing a message. I'm using Windows 10.

    How to copy a list of file names in a folder to text file?

    Hi.
    Below link shows a method to do that, but its probably for older versions of windows.

    In windows 10, when I Shift+right click on a folder to open the Powershell window and type dir /b > dirlist.txt to generate a text file of filenames in the folder, this command is returned as invalid.

    Would be grateful for any help.

    Compare a text file containing file names with files in a folder

    Hi,
    I have a text files containing a list of file names and I wish to compare that to a folder with files in it.
    The folder contains a rather large number of files and I want to see if files in that folder exist in the file with the list of file names.

    Hope I have explained my problem clearly.

    Would appreciate any help
