Windows 10: My friend's pc keeps rebooting without error while playing a demanding game

Hello, my friend's old pc i7 3930k-DX79TO-32gb ddr3-rx570 keeps rebooting when the cpu requires more stress then everyday use. We tried many solutions: sfc scan to see if there were windows missing files, upgrading the power supply to a better one, changing thermal paste, overclocking and underclocking, reinstalling windows and lowering the usage of the cpu by using the windows energy saving and lowering the percentage of maximum cpu power. Nothing happened but by lowering the cpu power it lasted a little bit longer 15 minutes instead of the immediate crash when it's asking for power. Also there are no bsod just a system reboot. Also the windows log application says error Kernel 41. send help.

• Have you tried using other browsers like Edge?
• What error message are you getting?
• Can you provide more details on the troubleshooting steps that you have tried so far?
• Are you experiencing that same thing using other PCs?

Computer randomly reboots when I play games.


I get random restarts when playing games.
Is this something to do with windows 10 or Nvidia?

Not great with computers but I've only been having this problem the past week or so.

I have done a clean reboot and all that but it keeps happening.

Here are some errors I get in Event Viewer:

• Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80070643: Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.217.854.0).
• Driver install failed, result=0x80004005 for devnode 'SAITEK\PROGRAMMABLEDEVICE\7&69BEA2F&0'
• The DSM service was delayed by 12 seconds for a driver query/download/install on device 'SAITEK\PROGRAMMABLEDEVICE\7&69BEA2F&0'
• The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

 

BSOD When playing games

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.
