Windows 10: My Games Desktop Icons go blank

Hi. I'm a Windows 10 user. I have steam games installed on my laptop and some of them are ugly so I decided to change it using some ICO files which are converted from good icon images on Internet. However, after changing it by right clicking to the icon, going to Properties, selecting Change Icon and then changing the icon, the icons are immediately turned into blank icons after 2 hours. It seems like Windows 10 resets every icons and now the icons rolls back to what they were in the past. Maybe using Disk Cleanup to delete thumbnails will also make the icons blank. I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

• Right click on the blank space on desktop.
• Click on View.
• Uncheck Align icons to grid.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
