I built a PC on Tuesday, the parts are as follows:

i7 8700K

ASUS ROD Strix Z390-E Gaming Motherboard

32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM

Gigabyte 2070 OC

NZXT Kraken X53 280mm AIO

TEAMGROUP 512 M.2 SSD

Seagate 2TB HDD

Corsair m750 GOLD Power Supply.

Whenever I turn it on from the first boot the fans have run at full speed it feels like. My wife and some close friends have AIO systems (All of theirs are corsair however) and they all commented on the loudness of the PC fans. When I try to adjust it in NZXT cam no change seemingly happens. The temperatures on CPU and GPU are comfortable at all times though never going above 75/76 on GPU and 60 max on CPU. Neither the CPU or GPU have been overclocked by me or the previous owner.

I also crash in almost every game I play. This is hard to predict. I have crashed twice in Destiny 2, and a few times in The Division 2, but the most consistent is Apex Legends. Every time I load a game it crashes. When is hard to tell. Sometimes I crash flying down to begin a match, sometimes it can be up to 5/10 minutes in. One game I crashed upon landing, a different one as I died and left the game it crashed. There are no stutters and the games run flawlessly until the crash.

I have reinstalled the drivers for GPU, edited the registry, enabled Debug Mode on NVIDIA Control Panel, reinstalled and verified all of these games several times, and reinstalled windows completely. I also have a 2060 Super in my house and swapped it just to see if that helped and the issue persisted.

I checked on PC Part Picker and all the parts seem to work together and the Power load that the website estimates is well within the capabilities of the m750.

Game crashing all the time / PC freezes sometimes

Since about a month I have the problem that a game (Grand Theft Auto V) is crashing all the time. Sometimes the complete PC freezes too so that it displays the old image e.g. a few minutes ago (completely unresponsive, only restarting the PC helps). The time is not predictable, when it crashes. At one time it crashes after five minutes, another time it crashes after half an hour. But one thing is sure - it will crash.

I have contacted the Rockstar Support and they say they can't help me anymore. Things I did asked by the Rockstar Support:

• reinstalled the game and Social Club multiple times
  
• deleted game files in AppData/Local/Rockstar Games/GTA V and Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club
  
• deleted C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTAVLauncher.exe and restored via Steam option Verify integrity of game files
  
• DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc /scannow multiple times
  
• uninstalled another app, which should be responsible for network timeouts/blocking
  
• switching to story mode/second character
  
• submitted the export of msinfo32 including crash reports to the support
  
• changed firewall settings
  

Things I tried myself:

• played in Safe Mode
  
• changed graphics settings
  
• removed OC
  
• updated to latest Nvidia driver (436.15)
  
• updated Windows 10
  
• checked the event log, but there is no entry
  
• executed memtest86 without problems
  
• made a stress test with FurMark without problems
  

I don't have expierenced similar problems in other games/apps.

System configuration:

• i5-6600K
  
• 16 GB RAM
  
• Nvidia GeForce GTX 780
  

Temperature is always OK.

Black Screen, GPU Fan 100% When Playing Games

Hey all,

I have had an issue for the last few months, specifically when trying to play Rocket League, where between 5-20 minutes into playing, both of my monitors will go black and my GPU fan will kick to 100%. I can't remember if this coincided with any NVIDIA driver updates, but any subsequent updates have not helped. I am currently running the latest NVIDIA driver version (441.66).

Here are some of the troubleshooting steps that I have taken for this:

• RAM
• Ran Memtest64 overnight, ensuring that 100% RAM utilization. No errors were returned.
• Reseated the RAM, blowing out the slots to ensure no blockages.
• Tested different memory slots on the board.
• Swapped out RAM with new RAM from Microcenter, no improvements.
• RAM was originally OC'd to 3200 MHz via XMP. I turned this off and the RAM is running at stock speeds listed above.
• BIOS
• Updated BIOS to the latest version
• Performed a Clean Boot and attempted to play. Game still crashed out within the first match or so.
• GPU
• Updated all drivers
• Updated drivers, including a complete DDU uninstall/reinstall.
• Swapped power cables from the PSU
• Moved GPU to lower PCI-E slot
• Reseated the GPU, blowing out the slot after reseating
• Deleted the video driver from Control Panel
• Storage
• Ran chkdsk with no errors
• Ran defragmentation on the HDD and Trim on the SSDs
• Ran sfc /scannow with no issues
• Game Files
• Ran validator on game files (as a note here, after one crash, I ran the validator and it corrected one file. However, I played a game immediately after and crashed. Running the validator after that crash had no files fixed)
• Installed the game on all three storage devices

I have attached the BSOD logs. Please assist!
