    all games crash!

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

New GPU (1070), display is black, and windows wont load after driver update

I have i7 6700 cpu, I just bought a new GPU (GTX 1070) and installed it.

Everything seem to be ok, the led on the GPU is fine but when I plug the monitor to it it wont display anything...

(I have Asus H170M-Plus motherboard if it helps)

What I tried based on the internet:

    • Update BIOS
    • Changed the setting on the motherboard to "Main Display - PCIE" (When I do that, the BIOS just ignore this and put "CPU" back in...)
    • using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to uninstall the previous GPU (the built-in one, didn't have a gpu before on this machine) driver.
    • installed the current drivers from nvidia site.
    • Checked if everything is connected correctly
    • Removing the GPU and putting it back (to confirm it is placed correctly)

When I install the Nvidia drivers btw, when it completes, I press restart and windows wont load at all, so I go to safe-mode and again using DDU to uninstall the driver..

    So, what am I missing?

    Thanks in advance.

    (Windows 10)

By the way, I have 700W, so power is not the problem

my gpu wont display my monitor after my pc crashes

Display crashed but PC still running

    PC make:

    MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H

    CPU: i7-3770k

    GPU: GTX670

    RAM: DDR3 12Gb (corsair 8gb and corsair 4gb)

Installed Win 10 Anniversary updates with nvidia driver version 369.06 in Oct 2016. Everything was fine, until I play Pro Evolution Soccer, the gameplay is sometimes laggy, which gave me an urge to update the gpu driver.
Hence I downloaded Nvidia Geforce and update to the latest driver released on 24 Dec 2016.

After a few days, everything was okay until yesterday, when I was halfway surfing the internet, the monitor
couldn't get video input from the GPU, but the PC is still on. Then I tried to force restart, then it boots normally. Until when I run a game, the display crashed again, monitor cannot get any video input, but the game sound is still playing,
which tells me the CPU is still on.

I suspect it was the driver. So I tried to download the previous versions from Nvidia website, tried a few and
the problem persists. After the display crashed (monitor couldn't get video input), sometimes the CPU continue running, sometimes it just restarts.

Until then, I tried system restore, which bring the windows back to the state prior to installation of Geforce and updating of drivers, so I retrieved Nvidia version 369.06, which supposed to be stable.

HOWEVER, the display STILL crashes, which makes me suspect it might be the GPU problem. So I
removed the GPU and have the cable plugged in to Intel graphic output. The display doesn't crash anymore, BUT
    bsod happens.

So, I decided to test out the two RAM sticks (8gb and 4gb). which yield the results summarized as below:

    8GB + 4GB + GPU = display crashed, CPU running/restarts

    8Gb + GPU = Display crash / bsod

    4Gb + GPU = display crash

    8Gb + Intel graphic = bsod

4Gb + Intel graphic = so far still okay but I dont know how to diagnose.

running only 4gb seems okay, so I tried to reinsert 8gb, BSOD (bad_pool_header) happens again.

restart, retry, run stress test, no fail.

reinsert GPU = run stress test, display crash again.

    Anyone pls help... Thanks alot.
