    My Hard disk is going to 100% disk usage very Frequently and memory usage is Also High...


    I Have Installed Windows 10 On A Hard disk Drive and I Notice that it very Frequently Hits 100% disk usage like even when I Open File Explorer it Hits 100% disk Usage. Memory Usage is also high compared to normal usage. I Currently Have 4gb of Ram And It is Regularly Above 75 percent when I Open A Light pdf app and Google chrome.Any Help Would Be greatly Appreciated.

    Hi,

    100% disk usage and memory usage can be caused by a software corruption, running application running on the background and malware or virus infection.

    For us to properly isolate the issue and provide an appropriate resolution, kindly answer the questions below:

    • Did the issue happen after installing the Fall Creators?
    • Did you receive any error messages?
    • Can you send us the screenshot of the Task Manager showing the 100% disk usage and memory usage?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    For isolation purposes, please perform a clean boot to see if the same issue will occur. Refer to this

    In the Task Manager, under Performance tab, the disk utilization reaches to 100% due to which system became lagging and unresponsive. It started freezing in few moments and this keeps happening until disk usage reduces from 100%.

    Control panel > Power Options > Edit Plan Settings > Change Advanced Power Settings > Processor Power Management > Maximum Processor state.

    Also, once I start Chrome 64, it uses lots of cpu and ram to do absolutely nothing.

    Disk usage high upto 100% on Windows 10

    Original title:- Windows 10 high disk usage

    Disbled windows search and the superfetch

    Disabled one drive.

    Done the sfc /SCANNOW

    System and compressed memory and service host: local service (network restricted) 7 causing 100% disk usage. Nothing shows under disk tab in resource monitor. Shows nothing going off the charts.

    Any suggestions or ideas?

    Basically my pc freezes and never stops until i hard reset. Always seems to happen 5-10 minutes after i restarted and logged in
