Windows 10: my hard disk won't let me create a new simple volume

so I got this hard disk of my old pc and when I tried to formate it everything went normal until the moment I plugged into my new pc I could not see it so I opened Create and format disk partition I saw it there but could not create NSV because it was for some reason not initialized I clicked right-click to initialize and a couple of seconds later it said (virtual disk manager data error (cyclic redundancy check))

so I was thinking there might be a problem with my windows or pc I put it back to my old one and the same thing happens and on my brothers pc to is there a solution to this or not please help

Unable to create simple volume on new 1TB hard drive

Just got a brand new HP computer with windows 10 Pro (64bit) preinstalled on an SSD. I am now adding a 1TB sata hard drive for storing data files. New HDD is installed as Disk 1 and is seen by Windows 10. I initialized it as an MBR basic disc. When I try to go to the next step of creating a volume, I right click on disk 1 and there is no option available to create a new simple volume. There are other volume options (mirror, raid, etc) but they are all greyed out. Simple is not even listed as an option. I went to DISKPART and using clean command, took it back to the start, then initialized it as a GBT. That didn't make a difference. Now I'm back to MBR again. I also did a List Volume command under DISKPART and confirmed there is no volume on this drive. I'm stuck. How can I get this drive to the point where I can format it and use it?

"New Simple Volume" missing in Disk Management Console

I have just created a new iSCSI target on a Synology NAS and can connect to this via the iSCSI initiator in. I can then initialize the disk in the Disk Management Console, but I cannot create a volume, because the "New Simple Volume" choice is not available
for this disk. How can I add a simple volume to the iSCSI target?

Can't create simple volume on dynamic disk

Hello

I have a dynamic disk (converted from a basic disk) with about 100gb of allocated space. I try to create a simple volume out of the entirety of it (via disk management) but immediately after press "finish" on the
New Simple Volume Wizard, an error message shows saying "There is not enough space on the selected disk to complete this action"
even though I have plenty of unallocated storage.

I think the problem is because I converted the disk to dynamic but I haven't found a way of converting it back to basic without wiping it.

Any answers as to how I can created volumes on my drive?
