Windows 10: My hard drive is locked out, no bitlocker key

My computers motherboard fried so I was trying to get my family pictures and stuff off my hard drive, years of important pictures that are not backed up anywhere else, but the tech said I have to have my bitlocker key, but no problem just sign into my Microsoft account, okay no problem my device is listed but when I go to get the bitlocker key my computer isn't thier, so it's thier on devices but no bitlocker key, the website is completely unhelpful and Thiers no way to contact support not over the phone chat or email... Or atleast I couldn't find anything, I need to know why my bitlocker key

External Hard Drive Locked Automatically by Bitlocker

I have a problem with my external hard drive. It appears that Bitlocker locked it without my knowledge. I have never even heard of Bitlocker before my File Explorer told me that the drive was locked by Bitlocker.

I have no password because I did not set it up. As for the recovery key, I was able to retrieve it from my Microsoft Account. However, when I used it, Windows 10 did not accept the recovery key.

How do I recover my files from my external hard drive?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

• 
  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.

Bitlocker recovery key for an external hard drive

My computer recently died and my local technology repair store was able to backup my data on to an external hard drive. However, the hard drive is locked with a bitlocker key and I am unable to find it. Since I don't have the laptop available to try to find the key, I turned to my Microsoft account. Even though my computer is registered with that account, there is no bitlocker key associated with it. How do I recover the bitlocker key if it doesn't appear that one was ever created? Please help
