Windows 10: My hard drive suddenly stopped working

I am sure nothing is wrong with the hard drive as I was using it fine my laptop stopped recognizing it all of a sudden

Overclock your hard drive!!!

Heres a much easier hack that I realized quite a few years ago that really does work!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Hard drive with molex power connection.
• PSU with more than 1 strand that has molex plugs on it.
• Wire strippers, soldering iron if you're fancy, electrical tape if you're not.

STEPS:

• Take the strand of connectors from your PSU, and decide which one will be the donator for this overclocking adventure.
• Cut the yellow and orange cables, then twist them together.
• Find the power connector you've chosen as the overclocking connector, and release the orange cable from the connector. Now use your preferred method to bind them together, then place it back together.
• Plug in a drive and feel the speed!

Congratulations! You've just overclocked your hard drive!

Suddenly stopped copying video to hard drive

I purchased a 6TB external hard drive, and began copying short videos onto it. All went well until suddenly, in the middle of copying a folder of videos, the videos stopped being copied correctly. The videos were apparently copied but, on looking in the properties no details of the videos could be seen.

After this it was impossible to copy any videos, I shut down the laptop, disconnected the hard drive, and tried to start again. But no videos could be copied, this includes videos that were previously copied successfully.

I can copy videos successfully onto other hard drives (1 & 2 TB with the older connection).

This occurred on one hard drive, I thought it was a problem with the drive, so I had it replaced, and the same thing happened.

So

The videos can be copied to other hard drives, so nothing wrong with the videos or the downloading ability of my PC.

The type C cable works

The drive just stopped recording successfully.

Any Ideas of what went wrong and how can I fix it?
