Windows 10: My HDMI port has stopped working after update

Hi all,I installed the Windows update on Sunday 28 April. Following this, my laptop ASUS, Tuf Gaming, Model: FX505D will no longer register any HDMI input.I have attempted to connect it to both a monitor Acer and TV it has previously connected to without response. Whilst the monitor will display with a HDMI to USB converter, the USB converter is not compatible with the type of USB I have. I have attempted to uninstall the two most recent updates, and installed the Ryzen graphic driver, without success.

HDMI Port Stopped Working

I generally use a second monitor via an HDMI cable while working. However, it stopped working today.

I checked these:

• Windows cannot detect a second monitor when HDMI cable is connected to the second monitor.
• HDMI cable which I use works if another device is connected to the second monitor.
• My computer detects my HDMI-to-VGA converter through HDMI port.

My computer runs Windows 10 Home with latest updates installed.

I suspect this is due to a driver error. How can I fix this problem?

 

windows 11 home HDMI Port not working or listed how do I get HDMI working and find and reinstall HDMI Driver in Device Manager?

Windows 11 home ----HDMI Port not working or listed in Device Manager -- after Windows Update disabled my AMD Adrenaline Graphics update and Chipset update.... that was downloaded and installed from the AMD website...but I did the "Rollback Driver" on the driver but still no HDMI working.....and device manager still doesn't list anything about HD Graphics in list.... just HD audio is listed ? How can I reinstall or recover my HDMI port ? .... or how would my HDMI be listed in Device Manager?

 

GTX 1650 HDMI Ports Not Working!?

Comments noted, thanks. The video cable came in a packet labelled HDMI to VGA, so this cable should work. When using this video cable as a test with my newer monitor, again there was no signal seen on the monitor. To me that suggests a problem with the cable. The VGA input port on the old Philips monitor does work when a VGA to VGA video cable is connected to an older computer that has a VGA output. So that suggests the VGA port on the old Philips monitor is working, and again suggests a problem with the HDMI to VGA video cable. I don't have another HDMI to whatever video cable to test the video card HDMI ports. Although it is possible that the GTX 1650 HDMI ports could be faulty, I still suspect that it is the new HDMI to VGA video cable that is faulty. My intention is to return this new HDMI to VGA video cable to the store where I purchased it from, and maybe get them to test the cable, and/or get a refund. This store does not at present have DVI to VGA video cables to exchange with. Ideally I should get a DVI to VGA cable to run from the GTX 1650 video card to the old monitor. There is no option to purchase another monitor at present due to limited finances, so the cheapest and preferable option is to get a suitable video cable that works with the GTX 1650 video card and with the old monitor.
