Windows 10: My headphones are acting weird since yesterday with sounds coming in rapid succesion.

I've noticed that some sounds cause my left ear of my headphones Arctis 1 create "Bursts of air" they would turn off too but that was solved by putting the secondary wire away upon playing sounds in rapid succesion Like when playing War thunder, while shooting as BTR-ZD or when listening to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgCWlGW5tko at 1:09 although it's quite inconsistant with second example.My headphones will also still play despite deleting them in devices settings.I use windows 10, it is happening probably since yesterday.

Headphones are plugged in, but the sound doesn't come through.

Hi,

Please follow the below mentioned steps to set the Headphone as the default device:

Open Control Panel and select Sound.

When the Sound dialog appears click the Playback tab.

Verify if the Headphone is listed and the right sound card listed under playback devices.

If so, right click the Headphone device and click on default playback device.

If they are not listed, Right click on the blank space and click on show disabled device.

If the Headphone gets listed,

Right click the “Headphone” select “Enable”. Right click the “Headphone” again and select “Set as default device” from the same list.

Click “Ok”. Now remove and reconnect the Headphone and check.

Windows 10 no sound comes through the headphones

I recently received a 15.6 inch Zoomstorm GT5 Gaming laptop with realtek sound. Just yesterday, the headphone jack was working perfectly. Today, nothing. When I plug my headphones in it recognizes that something is plugged into the audio jack but no sound comes
through the headphones. Help!

Hi,

My daughter's new laptop (HP Windows 11, purchased 8 months ago) is having an issue with the headphones. In the last couple of days, whenever she plugs them in, the sound still comes from the speakers, not the headphones.

These are simple wired in-ear headphones that work fine on other devices. I've tried other headphones that work fine in other devices, all with the same result.

I've tried setting headphones as the default playback device, but when I select it in the list, Set As Default is greyed out.

I checked the drivers and they are all up to date. I also ran the audio troubleshooter and it found no problems.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?
