Windows 10: my headphones suddenly didn't work, help needed!

Hello, I need some help regarding my headphones not working alongside my laptop.I was watching something on my laptop and my headphones traditional cabled apple ones suddenly cut out, the audio continuing to play via the speaker which ,obviously, is not normal and I tried putting them back in again and the audio remained coming from the speaker; the other odd thing is that my headphones didn't show up as a source of audio at the little tab on the home bar when plugged in meaning, the laptop didn't register that they were plugged in.Also to add, I updated the windows software only a few days

• What are the troubleshooting steps you have tried to resolve the issue?
• How have you connected the headphones to your device?
• Were you able to see if the headphones detected on your computer?

As a work around, try the below and update us the status of this issue:

• I suggest you to connect the headphones to different device and check if the headphone is working fine. This will help us to detect if the issue is with headphone.
• If headphones are working fine on other devices, try to connect the headphones to different ports on the PC in the question and check if it is working fine. This will help us to know if the issue is with ports.

I recommend you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Bluetooth headphones suddenly stopped working.


HI,

My Bluetooth headphones have suddenly stopped working. They were working fine this morning. The headphones are connected and I see it in devices + printers but I no longer see it in playback devices.

Any ideas?
