Windows 10: My high performance mode has disappeared.

I only have balanced mode on my computer. I have tried the command prompt method of adding and have also tried importing the files yet the same. On the other hand, all the commands added an extra balanced power plan and I made sure non of the commands were supposed to add a balanced power plan. I have also tried the restore default command but up to no good. I have also noticed that there is no power management in gpedit.

High Performance Mode icon dissapeared

Hi

Last Sunday i've updated my Windows 10 and i lost my high performance mode icon in the toolbar hidden icon it was a yellow plane like icon and the icon is not airplane mode. some suggestion where it might be gone?

High performance power mode

It is safe to use High-Performance mode on Windows 10. High-performance mode means that Windows 10 will optimize your computer to perform better but will use more energy. It doesn't mean that it will overwork your computer that will cause damage to your computer. The only thing that you would have to worry about High-performance is that it requires more energy which means that it will drain your battery faster if you are using a laptop and you are not connected to the AC power.

File Explorer Selective High Contrast mode

Hello Kacson, my name is Paul one of the community experts. I am sorry that you are having issues with your visual settings that is stuck in High Contrast Mode.

Kindly try these steps to check if it can resolve the issue.

Way 1: Turn High Contrast off via keyboard shortcut.

Press left Shift+left Alt+Print Screen to instantly turn it off.

Way 2: Turn off High Contrast through changing the theme.

Step 1: Enter theme in the search box and click Change the theme in the result.

Step 2: Choose a new theme from the offered themes excluding the High Contrast themes.

Way 3: Turn High Contrast off in High contrast settings.

Step 1: Type high contrast in the search box and tap High contrast settings in the result.

Step 2: Click the High Contrast theme (i.e. High Contrast #1, High Contrast #2, High Contrast Black or High Contrast White), choose None in the pop-up list and then hit Apply.
