regarding windows 10 home group options

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. Let me assist you.

These may be the below possible reasons of you facing the issue. Please go through the points.

    • If a Home group already exists on your network, you'll be asked to join it instead of creating a new one.
    • If your PC belongs to a domain, you can join a home group but you can't create one. You can get to libraries and devices on other home group PCs, but you can't share your own libraries and devices with the home group.
If both the above scenarios doesn’t imply, then I would suggest you try the below steps.

    Steps:

    • Switch to an Administrator user account, in case you are not using one.

    • Run a Home group Troubleshooter to fix the issue.
Refer the below steps to run a Home group Troubleshooter.

  4. My Home group not visible in my OPC communication software.

    home group

    Hi. stetmor

    My Name is David B.

Independent Advisor I'd like to help.

First, in this case, if there is already a home group in your home network, you can join it, as follows:

    1. Open Grupo Hogar. To do this, click the Start button, click Control Panel, type home group in the search box, and then click Home Group.

    2. On the Share with other home computers that are running Windows 7 page, click Create a group at home and then follow the instructions.

Notes: If there is already a home group in your home network, you will be asked if you want to join it instead of creating a new one.

If your PC belongs to a domain, you can join a group at home but you cannot create a new one. You can access files and resources from other teams in the group at home, but you cannot share your own files and resources with the group at home.

After creating a group at home, other computers running Windows 7 on the network can join it.

Add other equipment to the group at home:

After creating a home group in the network, the next step is to join that group. You will need the password of the group at home, which can be provided by the person who created the group at home.

To join a group at home, follow these steps on the team you want to add to the group at home:

    1. Open Grupo Hogar. To do this, click the Start button, click Control Panel, type home group in the search box, and then click Home Group.

    2. Click Join now and follow the instructions on the screen.

Note: If you don't see the Join Now button, there may not be any groups available in the home. Make sure someone has created a group at home or create one yourself.

Access the archives of the group at home:

Computers that belong to your home group will appear in Windows Explorer.

To access the files or folders of other computers in the group at home

    1. Click the Start button and then click on your username.

    2. In the navigation pane (left panel), in Home Group, click on the name of the user account of the person whose files you want to access.

    3. In the file list, double-click the library you want to access, and then double-click the file or folder you want.

Notes: Devices that are turned off, in hibernate mode or suspended will not appear in the navigation pane.

If you have made some files or folders in the home group available offline, and then you disconnect from the network, the files or folders will no longer be visible in the Libraries window. To find them, open the Network folder.

    Regards...
