Windows 10: My HP all in one desktop pc running W8.1 has began to flash up for a split second a small...

I have had no problems with the computer and wondered if anyone knows the reason please. It is an Intel Pentium CPU *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, ram 4.00 GB and is 64bit. I have tried nothing due to lack of experience and knowledge.

I can suggest.

Update drivers and run HP troubleshooter and tools.

Try updating the bios and keyboard drivers

The keys light up on your keyboard ??

You can also try to access the Recovery menu. Try holding down the power buttons and the volume button - between 10 and 15 seconds to see if the recovery menu appears.

If these steps do not work we will try to connect a usb keyboard to proceed to the recovery menu or review problems with the computer software

Not only W8

I'm just curious .. what do you mean by annoying??

Jeff The W8 series.
Specifically:

• Start Screen
• Hidden controls
• Invisible Hot Spots
• Charms bar
• Dual Control Panels
• Metro Apps "Drag to Close"
• Blinding Diamond White theme
• The way MS split up the Personalize options (the ones they didn't remove entirely) and then hid them in random locations

If I created a new W8 VM I could probably list more stuff.

W8.1 set to "All Apps" & "Boot to Desktop" was slightly less annoying.
