    My HP All in one Print-Scan-Fax will no longer function after Windows update


    I have a fairly new HP Office Jet Pro 8035 series All In One Print-Scan-Fax machine that I use daily for my at home business. Up until August 12, 2020, it was working as it should. I then had an Windows 10 update installed and since then, the scan to computer touch screen function no longer works.

    I reached out to HP tech support and over a period of 3 days and nine hours on the phone with them, it turned out that my issue was not the printer but something to do with that latest update.

    They had me try to uninstall, reinstall, CMy HP All in one Print-Scan-Fax will no longer function after Windows update :prompt, BIOS, drivers, .EXE and everything else under the sun to try and make it work.

    Now, if I have to which I do need to scan something, I have to open the scanner utility, put documents into the feeder and press scan for the utility so that I can then create a PDF of my documents.

    The Automatic Document Feeder function does not work. My touch screen commands no longer work. I really need this fixed.

    Is there anyway that maybe there is a "patch" for this issue because, I really need my All-In-One to function as it is intended to.

    Windows 10 Broke HP Printer Scan Function

    Installed Windows 10. HP Deskjet 2510 all-in-one printer's scan function no longer works. Went to device manager, clicked to update driver, said it was up-to-date. I disabled and enabled. Printing and other features of the HP Printer Assistant are all
    fine. Scan does not work in the HP Printer Assistant nor by pressing the Scan button on the printer, gets error message not found.

    Windows 10 HP Officejet Pro 8620 Will not print


    Thank you for posting this. I tried all the listed steps and still not able to print EXCEPT when I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor; at the conclusion of the scan, the app prompts me to print a test page from within the Scan Doctor and it is successful. I recall the 8620 being able to do this as well, however.

    Somewhere along the way I lost my context menu print function

    Hi, have you ever used any tool such as Shellexview (free) to disable context menu entries?

    Try downloading and installing and running that and see if you see a list of entries listed as disabled.

    Print is a default Windows item, so if lost suggests some sort of corruption may have occurred.

    As a matter of course, try running
    chkdsk c: /scan
    and then if ok
    SFC /SCANNOW
    - both from an admin command or powershell prompt and post the result.

    What is your Windows build?
