Windows 10: my hp battery was used and drained and since remianed flat and not harging again

my hp battery was used and drained and since remained flat and not charging again since but remained 0% indicating battery always and full charge light on blinking when plugged for along time

Windows 10, HP laptop battery "plugged in, not charging"

For HP laptop there is a new power management tool/driver which actually (if turn on) try to use AC power after a certain % of battery draining. In my case even if I have the power on my battery drain constantly upto 15% and then stays there. Its annoying if you are not aware about it and if you are planning to use your laptop on battery for longer time turn off this feature first.

Steps in Windows 10:

1. Go to search (next to windows icon in the left side dock)
   
2. Search for HP AC Power control
   
3. Click it and turn off or change the time
   

 

Battery drains while on sleep mode.


even mine has a slow battery drain, using Win 8.1. Even when powered off, not in sleep or hibernate, but off. It still uses the battery to keep the clock going.
Turn off fast start, as suggested, hibernate over sleep as it uses less power, and if you aren't going to use it for several hours, shut it off.

 

6280 Making the Battery go flat

Hi, I think i got a kind of battery problem with my 6280, anyway lets get onto the question, i want to make my battery go flat, what things should i do to make it go flat really quickly ( eg. turn bluetooth on) so i make a clean and fresh charge, please
write it in a list to make it easier, and give loads of suggestions please!
