Windows 10: My HP Elitebook goes into sleep when flipped completely

Hello guys, I'm Collins. I own a Elitebook x360 1030 G2 convertible laptop with a teeny weeny problem - In attempting to flip it completely360 degrees it always goes into sleep and comes on when flipped back. I've tried all sorts of methodsI mean a lot but to no avail. I hope I find someone with an answer to this. Thanks in anticipation.

Windows 10 Goes Black no wakeup HP EliteBook 8770w

After a Forced Update from Microsoft over night updated to windows 10. The computer goes completely black screen after about 30 minutes sitting, movement of mouse, keys or power button will not wake it up. If I power it down then backup, it will come to
a desktop very hot. this is a HP EliteBook 8770w.

 

Task scheduler wakes from sleep/hibernation but PC then goes back to sleep/hibernation

I have a HP EliteBook 840 G1 with Windows 10.

I am looking to put my laptop to sleep/hibernation each night at a set time. Then the scheduler will wake the PC at a set time and run a .bat file.

The Windows scheduler wakes the PC fine but after a few minutes it goes back to sleep/hibernation. I would appreciate any suggestions to prevent this.

The laptop is connected to power the whole time and I have disabled auto sleep.

Spectre x360 goes to sleep in full tablet mode

I read the thread you posted here in its entirety and did some research on this model of your laptop.

The device is a 2-in-1 laptop and can be put into tablet mode by flipping the display, thanks to a feature in Windows 11 that automatically recognizes the device's tablet state and then switches the UI to tablet mode.

Therefore, when you flip the display of your HP Spectre x360 device, you trigger the device's tablet state, so the Windows 11 system automatically enters tablet mode.

But it's weird when your device goes straight to sleep. Because there's no theoretical mechanism that triggers sleep on the lid.

It looks like you've searched for something similar, since you've tried almost everything HP support has suggested and have completely reset Windows, so I don't think this is a Windows failure.

You should send your device to HP after-sales support and ask them to do an inspection of your device. Find out why the device went into sleep mode after flipping the display to tablet mode, even though the cover operation was clearly not set.
