Windows 10: My HP Steam Laptop will not show anything related to network

Earlier today I was taking out my laptop from my bag to start uploading pictures from my camera so I opened it up like normal and waited for it to automatically connect to the internet, which normally finishes after about 30 seconds. But this time that didn't happen. After waiting for 1 minute, then 5, and then 5 more it just hadn't connected and when I went to go connect it manually there was no network button at all. I looked in my settings and the "Network & Internet" panel was still there but when I clicked on it no networks or internet options were shown or displayed at all. These iss

Laptop won't show list of available networks

We suggest checking the list of available Wi-Fi networks on your laptop.

Please follow these steps:

• Click the Windows logo.
• Go to Settings (gear icon).
• Select Network and Internet.
• Then Wi-Fi.
• Make sure the Wi-Fi radio button is On.
• Select Show available networks, then you'll be able to see the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

I'm online from my wifi laptop but can't connect to my home network

Nope, I've tried all the steps of all the fixes listed by Dalchina and Try3 but the problem still exists. The W10 laptop refuses to access my main W7 pc (named CG16) on my home network, although it can 'see' it, ie, it shows CG16 in the network list.
The only thing I haven't tried is Dalchina's suggestion about creating a shortcut, mainly because I'm not sure where this shortcut is supposed to be. I'm assuming it has to be on the W10 laptop but I don't understand how it could work. More info please, Dalchina, if you'd be so kind.

We would suggest you to runt the Power troubleshooter and check.

Try to run the troubleshooter and check.

• Type Troubleshooting in the search box and hit
  Enter.
• Select View all from the left pane and select Power.
• Follow the on-screen troubleshooter and try the steps.
