    Dell Inspiron One 2330 Web Cam showing black screen, no functionality

    I've not used the web cam on my Dell All-in-One desktop for quite awhile but since I'm now working from home, I need the web cam to function. All I am seeing is a black screen and I've taken all the recommended steps to no avail. I believe this issue
    occurred after I upgraded to Windows 10 a couple years ago? Are there any suggestions on how to correct this issue?

    Web Cam will not show

    Hi John,

    I've never tried to use my camera or video on my laptop until this Covid 19. It is a Samsung 750QUA with a internal web cam. I don't get any errors the light comes on letting you know the camera is on but no picture.

    Hi,

    To assist you better, I would like to know the make and model of the computer and the web cam.

    This issue may arise due to compatibility issues.

    I suggest you to first disable the internal camera from the device manager and check if that helps to resolve the issue.


    • Right Click on Start menu and select
      Device Manager.

    • Expand the section beside "Imaging Devices".

    • Right-click on your webcam and choose
      Disable.
    Please check if you are able to use the external web cam after disabling the internal cam.
