Windows 10: My keyboard dont work after 10 minutes when my laptop is idle.

I am currently using an Asus Zephyrus series 2023, when my laptop keyboard is not in use i.e. when I use only my trackpad for 10 min it just stops working Before that it works, even after clicking on the keys it doesn't work it only works when I have my laptop restarted.

Laptop's touchpad and keyboard freezes after being idle for around 1 minutes.

I bought a new Microsoft Laptop Surface Go 2, and ever since I booted up even while setting up the laptop the touchpad and keyboard freezes after not touching for around 1 minutes. I am sure that the laptop is properly working as the touchscreen works normally even while the touchpad and keyboard being freeze. Since it is brand new, I believe that it has no corrupted files. The only thing that works on the keyboard is the power button which makes it sleep and once it sleeps and turns on again, it functions like normal. Until I idle it for 1 minute then I need to sleep it again. Is there any fix to this?

• What is the make & model of the computer?

I would suggest you to follow below methods:

Check with different keyboard and mouse. And if that works.

Let’s troubleshoot the issue by referring to these methods and check the issue status:

Method 1:

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

• Press “Windows key + W” and type “troubleshooting”.
• Select “Troubleshooting”.
• Select “View all” on the top left corner.
• Click “Hardware & Devices”.
• Click on “Keyboard & Mouse ”
• Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

Method 2:

Visit manufacturer's website and install updates for drivers.

Let’s try updating the driver for the mouse and keyboard and verify the results. Follow the steps:

a) Press Windows and X key together and select
Device Manager.

b) Locate the Key board device icon. Right click on the driver icon.

c) Select Update driver software.

c) Select "browse my computer for a driver software".

d) Select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.

e) Select the driver option according your device model and installed.

f) If this does not work, follow the steps from ‘a’ to ‘c’ and select “Search automatically for the updated driver”.

g) Choose the same steps to update the driver for keyboard as well.

Check if it resolves the issue. If not, I would suggest you to download and install the latest available drivers for the keyboard from manufacturer website of the laptop. If the issue still persists, install the driver in Windows

Compatibility mode and check if that helps.

Windows 10 freezes/deadlocks after being left idle for a few minutes

I have done all of what you suggested, and it still freezes when idle for a few minutes. I have just performed a 1 hour + download. Five minutes later, while the computer was idle, Windows 10 froze.
