  2. HID Keyboard device problem

    Short problem description:

    - New USB connected sound every 30-60 seconds

    - New USB connected notification with that

    - A new list entry of 'HID Keyboard device' in the device manager

    - Sometimes it randomly stops and then becomes incredibly annoying again

I have this on my work laptop so it is crazy annoying for a product that is as expensive as Windows is.

There is also a thread from a year ago that died out after a **** solution suggestion:

    Redirecting

Can Microsoft support really do nothing about this?

  3. HID Keyboard device deleted

    Hello,

I accidentally deleted my laptop HID Keyboard Device from Device manager. I have tried everything to reinstall but fails. Surprisingly the FN commands work but not the actually typing keys. I have no idea what to do.

Before i deleted the HID Keyboard device, there used to be 3 HID Keyboard devices, now there is only 2.

my keyboard is pressing 0 by itself because of 2 HID keyboard devices

Pressing '0' (zero) yields 'q', regardless of keyboard and layout

I'm running Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 4. I have made a custom keyboard layout in Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator.I have 2 keyboards. One with norwegian physical layout.

Using any of the two keyboards, and any layout/language input method in Windows 10 (English US, Norwegian, my own custom one), when I press '0' (zero), I get 'q'. Pressing Shift+'0' yields 'Q'.

Pressing 0 on either keyboard in Linux yields 0.
