Windows 10: My keyboard keeps adding random letters and or symbols to some of my keys

When I press the letter v it adds a five at the end or if im typing something like now for example it does the same thing that right click does. I am also having the same issues with the other keys. Yesterday my question mark key and my apostrophy key used to add a slash at the front of it and if i had a line of text above what i was typing it would do something like th'is but today it went away for some reason. my question mark key still has an issue though, it treats it like i pressed the up / key but still. My ctrl key also used to have an issue yesterday, where it made my volume go up wh

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

b. Click on Time and Languages.

c. Click on Region and Languages.

d. Under the languages tab.

e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.

UK keyboard layout at symbol key and grave key does not work

My at symbol key, inbetween the letter L and # key, and the grave key left of the number 1 key has stopped working. Im sure it is not a keyboard issue as, when i keep UK qwerty layout, even using the on-screen keyboard, those key inputs do not get registered.
however when i switch to US qwerty the issue no longer exists and i am able to produce the at symbol with shift+2 and the quotation marks with what would have been the at symbol key on a UK qwerty layout.

Virus and malware could be one of the possible reasons why you're having trouble with symbols on your keyboard. To isolate the issue, we'd like to ask you a few questions:

• Have you made any recent changes to your device before the issue started?
  
• Did you encounter any error messages while typing the symbols?
• Can you tell us the troubleshooting steps that you've performed?

Meanwhile, we suggest scanning your device using an antivirus program and see if it's infected by a virus.
