    My keyboard randomly stops working unless I unplug and plug it back in again.


    Running the troubleshooter says no issues were found, and if I try to give feedback, it says "An error occurred while troubleshooting. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue." Checking to update drivers says they're up to date.

    Keyboard Randomly Stops Working until Unplugged and Reconnected

    My Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 on my new build PC randomly stops working (very sporadic), either mid typing so a key keeps repeating or just stops responding. It has happened three times now in a few days, I can't figure out any pattern as to what causes it. Unplugging the USB cable and plugging it back in resolves the issue and the keyboard starts working perfectly again.

    The mouse and keyboard are both plugged into an unpowered hub, but the mouse continues to work without any issue.

    I've used the same keyboard for years on my older PC without any issue.

    Bought new Intel NUC and new hard disk. Installed Windows 10 (fresh install, not upgraded) using DVD.

    Keyboard and mouse not working, both using USB. Unless i unplug it from usb port then plug it back. I have to do it every time, otherwise i can't login to Windows, so annoying.

    My keyboard and mouse randomly stops working after about 15 minutes or after 2 minutes I open my computer.

    Unplugging and plugging again doesn't work.

    Both keyboard and mouse are wired.
