Windows 10: My keyboard's symbols and some specific keys are "paralysed" or disabled.

A week ago, I was playing my game as usual, but suddenly when i tried to type in a number or a symbol, it just didn't work, I tried mashing random keys and it didnt work, too. I've watched countless youtube tutorials on how to solve this, but it didnt work. Disabling NumLock didnt do anything too. NumLock numbers were working, and also, I tried pressing 1, 2 and 3 together and It just typed out a 5 and if not, directed me to a google support website that has a link that looks like this: support.google.com/chrome/?p=help&ctx=keyboardHere and the keys that aren't working: Left Crtl. All F1

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

b. Click on Time and Languages.

c. Click on Region and Languages.

d. Under the languages tab.

e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.

Disabling laptop keyboard

As per the description. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I suggest you follow the steps below and check if that helps:

• Press Windows + X and select
  Device Manager from the list.
• Find Keyboards in the list of devices and click the arrow to expand it.
  
• Right-click on the internal keyboard and click Disable. If there is no Disable option listed, click
  Uninstall.
• Click File>Exit. Your laptop’s internal keyboard should now be disabled.

Note: If you had to choose Uninstall instead of Disable in step 4, the keyboard will be automatically detected and re-installed if you ever have the Device Manager scan for new hardware for some reason. If that happens you’ll need to repeat this procedure
in order to uninstall it again.
