Windows 10: My kid pressed some keys and colors are dim and feel broken on both monitors

My kid pressed few keys to trigger the issue instantly I worked with chat GPT to solve it but failed with every solution chatgpt provided except reinstalling windowswill leave it to end.this windows is fresh just a few days oldthe only way the issue is fixed when I set my two monitors to duplicate WIN + P popup, every other option shows the issueI tried calibrating the colors with windows wizardresetting graphics cardchecked color profile all looks goodchecked color filtersNight mode is offevery setting is seems default

Windows Color Management Issue

With the issue you're having with your display color, I suggest that you calibrate. There may have been settings that is causing the issue and resetting them may solve this. Follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key on your keyboard, type Calibrate display color.
2. Follow the on screen instructions.

If the issue will not somehow improve, try to check with your monitor's color settings just to be sure.

Also, I'd like to clarify what monitor is having the issue with its display going to the 'other monitor'? I'd also like to ask for help in isolating the issue. Try to use the monitors one-by-one or have them pair up with one another. Like have BenQ paired
with Asus then have Alienware paired with Asus etc.

Update me if there were improvements.

 

Screen Dim Issue

I would like to ask if you are using a desktop or a laptop. The steps provided by Likhitha was for laptop.

If you are using a desktop, follow the steps below.

• Navigate to Start>Settings>System>Display.
• In the right pane, click on Advanced Display Settings.
• Click on Color Calibration under Related Settings.
• Provide password (if any) for the UAC prompt and click on OK.
• Click on next and follow the on screen prompts to adjust the brightness and contrast.

If the issue still persists, suggest you to change the display settings of the monitor using the option keys provided in the monitor.

Color Management of external monitor Windows 10 not permanent

As per your query, I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

First connect the secondary monitor and then run the color calibration tool. Then with the secondary monitor connected, follow these steps:

a) Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

b) Change the view by option on the right top to large icons.

c) Click on Color Management.

d) Against device, select the secondary monitor and check, "use my settings for this device".

e) In the bottom, highlight a profile and select "set as default profile".

Save changes and check if the issue persists. Let us know the results for further assistance.
