    My laptop battery capacity dropped significantly.


    So I just purchased a new battery for my laptop. The design capacity of the battery is 90,005 whr. I ran a battery report on the battery the first day and it looked great it actually charged past the design capacity at 91whr. But I checked in on it today two days after installing the battery to see how it did after it first charge cycle and it dropped a huge amount. Right now it sitting at about 80,400 whr. Is this some kind of malfunction? I have tried calibrating the battery by draining it completely and charging completely to no avail. Hopefully it’s some software issue that can me resolv

    Battery capacity rapid drop

    I have a 4-month-old MSI Modern laptop with core i3 10110u 128Gb storage 8Gb ram. Very much base model type business laptop. I noticed recently my battery life was significantly less than it was the first month or so.

    Doing a battery report I noticed full capacity was now 31Wh vs new was 39Wh. MSI support suggested doing a battery calibration which I did, but another report after that showed the same loss of capacity. Now I am starting to think maybe the battery is defective, or is not charging discharging correctly? What are the criteria for the PC maker to determine the battery needs to be replaced under warranty.

    Acer battery won't charge

    What if the battery unremoveable? Should I disassemble and remove it? also there is a switch underneath the case and around the RAM slot that prevent the laptop to turn on when the case is open and without the charger. Is that the same as removing the battery? although when turned on with charger, the laptop still see the battery. Thanks

    I took the report, the design capacity was 41.440 mWh but full charge capacity is now 25.752 mWh. Is it that bad? Before this happened I believe HWMonitor also show the same number with 38% Wear Level.
