Windows 10: My laptop brightness bar wont go passed certain thresholds of brightness 40 being the main...

so ive been trying too simply turn my brightness up too 60 as thats what it was at before when it was working but now i doesnt work for some reason when i unplugged my laptop too move too a nicer spot in my house the brightness just stopped working. when i go too the bottom right of my screen and try and turn up my brightness the bar will stay at 100 but the actual brightness level that you physically see is around 20% 25% and it will slightly flicker the screen wont go black then back too normal, rather it flickers slighty in the brightness aspect my laptop is new and runs things very well here are the steps ive done:


1.went too device manager adapters updated drivers even uninstalled and reinstalled

2.power settings-advanced power setting- change plan- display.

3.right click bottom of screen and played with brightness and bought a new battery too see i that helped.

restore factory system settings. but i get "theres a problem resetting this pc" idk why but thats another problem

Usually there are special keys on laptops to adjust the brightness

Function keys may have a second option

In windows settings -> system -> display

• You might not see the Change brightness slider on desktop PCs that have an external monitor. To change the brightness on an external monitor, use the buttons on it.
• If you don't have a desktop PC and the slider doesn't appear or work, try updating the display driver. In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results. In Device Manager,

Unable to Change Screen Brightness of Laptop


So I'm not sure how long this has been happening but for some reason, I can't change the brightness on my laptop screen. I have linked a picture and as you can see, my brightness says 0% and that I can't change it, however my actual brightness is at 100%. I have looked around everywhere and the only responses I have found don't work for me. Here's a list of everything I have tried:
- Reinstalling Display Drivers
- Rolling Back Display Drivers
- Reset Settings on UWT4
- Power and Battery Settings
(UWT4 or Ultimate Windows Tweaker 4 is a customizer for Windows 10 and I thought that might be the problem but it wasn't)

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, it's greatly appreciated! Thanks! -

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.
