  2. Bluetooth not showing devices, won't connect new devices

    I'm on Windows 10 Pro, Version 22H2.
My laptop can't connect to ANY new bluetooth devices and can't reconnect to any old ones 383164d1673480821t-bluetooth-not-showing-devices-wont-connect-new-devices-pc-info.jpg
I'm on a laptop using the built-in Intel Wireless chip, which also comes with Bluetooth. I'm using one Bluetooth device - a headset, Jabra Evolve 65 - every day without issues.
My laptop can't connect to ANY new bluetooth devices and can't reconnect to any old ones 383165d1673480852t-bluetooth-not-showing-devices-wont-connect-new-devices-device-manager.jpg
Now I acquired another Bluetooth device - a game controller - and I cannot get the PC to detect it. My Android phone finds and connects to both the old headset and the new controller, so the peripheral devices shouldn't be at fault. After an extended online research, I found that something more fundamental is off with my Bluetooth - there seems to usually be a list of devices, both paired and "foreign, but detected", that is just missing from my interface.
My laptop can't connect to ANY new bluetooth devices and can't reconnect to any old ones 383167d1673481326t-bluetooth-not-showing-devices-wont-connect-new-devices-empty-bt.jpg
I cannot be sure, but that list might just be missing ever since, I never paid attention. The Bluetooth on/off toggle works as intended, my headset disconnects and reconnects as expected. By the way, the "printer and devices" window is also empty, even though I do have a printer, mouse and keyboard up and running (and showing in device manager). The issues seem related, according to online searches. Windows Update is up to date and so is the Bluetooth driver, according to device manager. I removed every Bluetooth-related entry from device manager and restarted, they showed up again as per screenshot (automatically re-installed on restart, I reckon). I completed both an SFC scan and a DISM scan. I checked services.msc and both the Bluetooth and the printer spooler services are up and running. The issue persists. Any ideas?

    I can`t add a bluetooth device

    Hello,

Outdated drivers is one of the possible reasons why you're having challenges connecting headphones to your computer. For us to determine the appropriate advice to your concern, please answer the following:

    • When did the issue start?
    • Were there any changes made prior to this issue?
    • Have you tried connecting your Bluetooth headset to a different device?

In the meantime, we suggest that you update your drivers by following the steps on this
    link.

    Looking forward to your response.

My laptop can't connect to ANY new bluetooth devices and can't reconnect to any old ones

Old bluetooth dongle not work with new ear buds

I have a laptop, 2 desktops, and 2 TVs with Bluetooth. The Bluetooth is built into the laptop and TVs but the desktops have Bluetooth dongles.

I have a Bluetooth headset and buds. Both will connect to any of the devices above. The biggest problem is pairing. I have discovered that sometimes I can't pair with one device if it is still paired with another. Once I unpair the old device I can pair them with a new one. Another thing is know is how to start pairing mode. The headset and buds have different ways to do this. Sometime a device will show that has already been paired but will not connect. I have to delete the device in the list and redo the pairing again. Then it will connect again.
