Windows 10: My Laptop D drive apparently not used and contains just DUMP****.tmp files

I have a relatively new Laptop. It has a partitioned drive with a C windows and D data. My laptop does not ever seem to use the D data drive. Experiencing system issues due to the C: having memory requirement issues and needing to delete apps and such. I really don't have much as far as apps or programs. In fact I resorted to removing a PDF reader which I do actually use. The Windows C: has a capacity of 118 GB and currently 91.2 usedThe Data D: has a capacity of 931 GB and 29.2 used --> but only 5 "DUMP ****.tmp" files show in the explorer window that show a total 6.12 GBThanks for any

How to change location of MSI????.tmp file

You may change the location of the .tmp file by following the steps provided below:

• Go to This PC.
• Right-click This PC, and then select Advanced System Setting.
• Click Environment Variables.
• Under system variable, double-click tmp and change the path for the file of your reference.

On windows 10, how to change the location of MSI?????.tmp file (ex. msi1a234.tmp), if a MSIsamplefile.msi is run on a dir. under D: drive it creates these files in root of D:\ drive

Please help me ! this's so bad and silly windows' conduct
