Windows 10: My laptop detects Bluetooth Headphones over ear Mkay WH-816 but cannot play audio

I have a few years ago some Mkay brand Bluetooth Headphones over ear WH-816 and I used them with the bluetooth of my laptop without any problem. After a Windows 10 update a few months ago they stopped working: It recognizes it as a bluetooth device, but it does not detect it to play the audio. I already did the following process: 1. Starting troubleshooter says you are offline. 2. Remove device, re-link it, restarting computer. 3. Restarting the Bluetooth Support Service, restarting the computer. 4. Uninstalling driver, restarting to reinstall it again it is the same driver. What can

Bluetooth Headphones Not Connecting [Closed]

okay so I just bought brand new bluetooth headphones (they are Mkay WH-816 headphones) and they work fine on linux but the moment I tried connecting them to windows 10 my bluetooth bugged out. Sequence of events:

1. turned on headphones into pairing mode

2. Add Bluetooth or other device

3. Add Bluetooth device

4. windows 10 searches for a device for 10 seconds, finds nothing, and goes into a cycle of on for 10 seconds/off for 2 seconds.

I have run through every troubleshooting method I could find:

1. restarting the computer

2. restarting bluetooth service

3. reinstalling bluetooth drivers

4. updating bluetooth drivers (there were no updates)

5. updating windows 10 (which messed up my dual boot)

6. reinstalling windows 10

7. repeating steps 1-4, just in case

nothing has worked. I am here as a desperate woman to beg for help. Is there anything that can fix this?

EDIT: Consider this question closed. I've concluded that the problem is with the headphones and that they aren't compatible with Windows 10. I'll be returning them tomorrow.

 

Windows can't detect bluetooth headphones

I also had the same issue, it was quite irritating. The audio technica bluetooth device was detected by iphone and samsung phones but when I search with my laptop ( windows 10) it was not discoverable. The device was not showing in the bluetooth list of
discoverable devices. Pressed the headphone switch for long period but the laptop couldnot detect it. Did all the setting changes, changed all the options and updated all the drivers but still it was not detected.

I read somewhere that bluetooth uses something which is common with the wifi so I made sure that the wifi was enabled, airplane made was off. Next disconnected the laptop from the internet wifi connection. Once the laptop wifi was disconnected, it search
the bluetooth headset under 'Bluetooth & other device' and the device was listed. Previously when the laptop wifi was connected to the router, the bluetooth headset was not detected but after disconnecting from the router it was detected.

Steps:

1. Airplane mode: OFF

2. Wifi ON but not connected to any device

3. bluetooth ON

4. Search for the device

Bluetooth not recognising headphones

Bluetooth on my PC recognises, pairs with and works with an ear piece headphone/mic.
Bluetooth on my Smartphone recognises, pairs with and works with an Ausdom headphone.
Therefore all hardware works.

However, PC Bluetooth will not recognise, let alone pair with, Ausdom headphone.

I have tried re-boots, turning Bluetooth on/off, uninstalling, re-loading drivers, etc. I have run out of ideas.

Any suggestions please?
