Windows 10: My laptop disk shows grub rescue after formatting the disk, same disk when in my pc starts...

Hi,My laptop had Linux on it but I wanted Windows on it so i took out the disk and put it in my pc, formatted it and put the windows installer. When I started it with my pc it worked fine and started the installer. When i put it back in my laptop the grub rescue showed up. I tried to put back linux Pop!Os same distro as before after that but even with the usb installer grub rescue came up. I dont know what to do now and i need any os on my laptop in a week. Also, i dont have a usb for the installer.What do i do?

Disk management console view is not up-to-date

i dont know how to fix your disk management, but i can fix your partition problems...




open up Command Prompt with admin rights. (Right click, run as admin)


enter in
DISKPART
list disk

then find the Disk number for your Raid array... lets call it number 7 ( you can tell what disk is what by the total size)
type in

Select Disk 7
List Partition (will give you a list of all the partitions..)
Select Partition 1 (im assuming you only have 1 partition on Disk 7) repeat this step if you have more partitions.
ASSIGN


that should get the array up and running ready to use.

• When did this issue start?
• Were there any hardware/software changes on your PC prior to this happening?
• Was your pen drive improperly pulled out from the USB port?
• Have you tried plugging your pen drive to a different USB port or a different computer?

Disk Management without any error. To check, follow the steps below:

• Click Windows + X.
• Select Disk Management.
• Check and see if your pen drive shows on the list.

Formatting a Disk

You can use the clean command & see if that allows you to format it.

Under diskpart

List disk

Select disk x where x is the number of the new drive

Clean

Then run the cmd to format the drive.
