My laptop display glitching when turned on but it's fixed when the cursor move

My laptop display looks glitching or broken when it turned on or I wake up the display when it slept. When I press things on keyboard, the display still looks glitching/broken, but when I move my cursor, it fixed or doesn't look like it's glitching/broken. It happens every time my display turned off, whether from sleep or shutdown. This happens after 3 days of use after I bought it, it never fell from anything, bump into anything, it stays on top of my table until now. I tried to downgrade my GPU version a few times until the original version of when I first turn on my laptop for the first tim

  2. Loading Cursor Glitch

Currently I am having a problem in which my cursor when it loads, it glitches back to a very old version of the loading cursor from about a decade ago.

I have tried updating both pointing devices drivers and display drives, which sometimes temporarily fixes the issue but soon after, or once I turn my computer off, it comes back again. I have had this glitch since I bought my current laptop last month which
was installed with Windows 10 when I got it, so it is not a problem on installation on my part.

Please could you advise because it has become beyond annoying. In particular, it seems to occur using chrome and surfing the web in general.

Windows 10 Cursor Loading Glitch Still Not Fixed

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and my mouse keeps glitching with the loading circle next to it and clicking on everything constantly without me doing anything. I'm on my laptop and also use a wireless mouse. Even if I turn off the wireless mouse or the
touch pad, it will continue to go off. I cannot play games or do anything productive. I've noticed a lot of others have experienced this, too. I followed these directions given on another user's post:

    "

First, I would suggest you to follow these steps and run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter:

    • Type “Troubleshoot” without quotes in search and click on Troubleshooting in the results displayed on the left side of the screen.

    • In the new window, click Hardware and Sound.

    • In the list of options, click on Hardware and Devices.

    • Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

After running the troubleshooter, try to install the Mouse drivers from the manufacturer website and check if it helps:

      1) Press Windows + X and select Device manager.

      2) Select Mice and other pointing devices.

      3) Right click on driver and select update driver software.

      4) Next follow the instructions to install it.

Hope it helps. Please reply to us with the status of the issue.

      Thanks."

However, the glitch still has not gone away. Help?

All my software is up to date and the trouble shooter says everything is working perfectly fine. I have restarted my laptop countless times by now

Laptop display glitching and frozen, can't fix

Hello Alam, thank you for you inquiry. My name is Shantal I'm an independent advisor, I am happy to help.

I'm really sorry to hear that you're experiencing this display glitch issue with your laptop. It can be frustrating when unexpected problems arise after making an upgrade. I understand how important it is for you to have a smooth computing experience. We will work together to get this resolved.

Based on the information provided, it's unlikely that the hard disk upgrade itself is causing the display glitch issue. The upgrade mostly involves storage, and display-related problems are usually unrelated to storage changes.

The problem you described with the screen going unresponsive, glitchy, and showing pixelated bars that flicker could be caused by several factors. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help identify and potentially resolve the issue:

    Update Graphics Drivers:

    a. Press the Windows Key + X and select "Device Manager."

    b. Expand the "Display adapters" section.

    c. Right-click on your graphics card and select "Update driver."

    d. Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

    e. If an update is found, follow the on-screen instructions to install it.

    f. Restart your laptop after the driver update is complete.

    Check for Windows Updates:

    a. Press the Windows Key + I to open "Settings."

    b. Go to "Update & Security" > "Windows Update."

    c. Click "Check for updates" and install any pending updates.

    d. Restart your laptop after the updates are installed.

    Check Display Settings:

    a. Right-click on your desktop and select "Display Settings."

    b. Check the "Resolution" and "Refresh rate" settings and ensure they match your monitor's specifications.

    c. If you made any changes, click "Apply" and then "Keep changes."

    Hardware Check:

    a. Connect your laptop to an external monitor using the appropriate cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.).

    b. If the issue occurs on the laptop's screen but not on the external monitor, it suggests a problem with the laptop's display or its connection.

    c. If the external monitor also shows the glitch, it may indicate an issue with the laptop's graphics card.

    Run Windows Memory Diagnostic:

    a. Press the Windows Key + R, type "mdsched.exe," and press Enter.

    b. Choose "Restart now and check for problems."

    c. Your laptop will restart, and the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool will run automatically. This may take some time.

    d. After the scan is complete, your laptop will boot into Windows.

    Check for Overheating:

    a. Clean the laptop's vents and fans from any dust or debris that might be obstructing airflow.

    b. You can also use software like HWMonitor to check the CPU and GPU temperatures during usage. If temperatures are too high, it might be causing the glitch.

    Check for Malware:

    a. Ensure that your antivirus or anti-malware software is up to date.

    b. Perform a full system scan to check for any malware or potential threats.

After each step, observe your laptop's behavior to see if the glitch persists. If the issue continues even after trying all these steps, consider contacting the laptop's manufacturer's support or seeking assistance from a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the problem. They can perform more in-depth hardware diagnostics and provide a more precise solution.

I hope this information is of use.

    Kind regards,

    Shantal.
