Windows 10: My Laptop does connect to mobile hotspot but doesn't connect to public wifi from my college.

My laptop used to connect to the college wifi normally before but suddenly it stopped it shows can't connect to the network. It does connect to mobile hotspots though and i know its not the wifi's fault as it connects normally on my friends laptops. I tried troubleshooting, resetting adapters , resetting network settings, deleting and restarting the pc, and checking dns server assignment and ip assignment is automatic but it's still the same. Could it be because the wifi is open network and the firewall isn't allowing? or sth else.my pc detailsrocessor AMD Ryzen 5 5600H with Radeon Graphics

Using laptop as mobile hotspot sometimes internet does not connect

So currently I do not have a router available (I have a wired connection to the internet) but I want to be able to check emails on mobile through wifi. I found a link (How to Turn Your Windows PC Into a Wi-Fi Hotspot) showing how to use your laptop as a 'wifi hotspot'. When the laptop is connected to the wired connection at work and I switch on the mobile hotspot as shown in the website, I am able to connect to the internet on my mobile through my laptop. However, this does not work at my home.

I would appreciate any help given to solve this problem.
