    My laptop doesn't recognize my headphones when plugged in.


    When I troubleshoot my laptops audio devices it shows my headphones, but in troubleshooting it says that the problem is that my audio device isn't plugged in, but it is. I've plugged it in and it still doesn't recognize it. I have tried everything I think. Need help, before I give up.

    Headphones Not Recognized as Plugged In

    I installed the Conexant driver from the manufacturer's website and ran in compatibility mode for Windows 8. Still the same problem; headphone jack is not recognized at all.

    Windows 10 HD audio driver still lists headphones as a playback device, but their status is always "not plugged in" even if they are plugged in.

    This is a new laptop (just bought last month from the Microsoft store) and came preinstalled with Windows 10.

    Audio jack doesn`t work

    Today when i plugged out headphones, it doesn`t display that you`ve unplugged headphones, seems goes something wrong. Now i can hear sonud only from plugged headphones. How to repair this problem?
