Windows 10: My Laptop DVD rom drive is not seen inside the device manager or working when pressing the...

I had this issue back when heard noises like krrk krrk everytime open or close the lap back when bought it from 2016 and till today the same noise came with the latest error that nothing is helping anymore! i tried regidit deleting upper and lower and command prompt to write the HKEY scan and bios check and device manager to uninstall and update and trouble shoot, now it does not appear again in device manager after restart and shut down, you do not want to have the dvd in computer and now it do not work and not supported some how is this the reason or what? can you give me an answer for the

DVD/CD Drive Saying CD-Rom

My Dvd drive is listed in my device manager however it is set as cd rom in the description, it also wont open and is not set as my default drive, any suggestions?

DVD Drive shows as "Unknown device" in Device Manager

Have you updated or reinstalled the driver? If not, follow these steps:

• To update the driver, search for the driver on the device manufacturer's website, and then follow the installation instructions on the website.
• To reinstall the driver, follow these steps:
  • Press the Windows key + R to open the
    Run dialog box.
  • Type devmgmt.msc, then press Enter. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click
    Allow
  • In Device Manager, expand DVD/CD-ROM drives, right-click the CD and DVD devices, and then click
    Uninstall.
  • When you are prompted to confirm that you want to remove the device, click
    OK.
  • Restart the computer. After the computer restarts, the drivers will be automatically installed.

Step 1: Try updating the DVD\CD-ROM drives from device manager.

• Press Windows key + X and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand DVD\CD-ROM drives .
• 
  Right click on the driver and select
  Update Driver Software.
  
• 
  Restart the computer.
  

Step 2: I suggest you to check and install if there is any latest firmware update for DVD drive from the computer manufacturer.
