Windows 10: My laptop fingerprint sensor stop working after allowing Windows Update to update my drivers.

Out of curiosity, what kind of people working at the Microsoft "Windows Drivers update" section? After allowing Windows update Windows 10 Pro to update my laptop's "fingerprint" drivers, I found that my "fingerprint scanner" is now totally disabled due to the wrong Drivers installed by Microsoft. I mean why you disable that built-in "Fingerprint" reader on my laptop?And funny thing is that I cannot uninstall or roll back to the previous version. Fingerprint sensor disabled by Windows 10 update 1803

I recently installed update 1803 on my HP Windows 10 laptop. The fingerprint sensor stopped working. I don't know if was turned off or disabled or what.

Is there a way I can fix it? I found a thread about it here, but I'm not sure what they they are suggesting.

 

Fingerprint sensor not working

I just updated to the newest version of Windows. This current laptop is only 2 weeks old and when I got it, the fingerprint sensor was working just fine. Now, after the update, the fingerprint sensor doesn't work. When I got to settings, it says we couldn't
find a fingerprint sensor compatible with Windows Hello even though it worked before the update. How would I fix this? I've tried restarting but it doesn't work.

I just bought a used HP elitebook 840 G2 which has a fingerprint sensor, I tried to link it to windows hello but couldn't. Tried to check if my fingerprint sensor drivers are up to date but couldn't even find one so I installed it from the windows website.
Now that I installed it I still can't find it on my drivers list and windows hello still can't detect a fingerprint sensor on my laptop. Happy holidays and merry christmas to everyone.
