Windows 10: My laptop freezes everytime I use it

Please help! This is immensely frustrating! I have an Asus VivoBook laptop and Windows 11. I use Chrome as a browser. I purposely only have one tab, 2 at most, open at a time due to the continued issue of it freezing. I'll be going along doing various things and it'll suddenly seize up. Nothing on the screen will move, I can't move the mouse cursor, I can't move any scroll bars, I can't close any open windows, I can't open the tadk manager. If I wait long enough the screen goes black instead if my usual screen saver. I have to force it to shut down?/restart? by holding down the power button fo

my laptop freezes every time I import photos from my memory card and the pictures do not come in a jpeg format then everytime I go to view them it freezes again the only way I can get my laptop to work again is to hold the off button for ten seconds
