    My laptop freezes up randomly.


    For the past few weeks my laptop has been freezing randomly. I tried everything I could do like updating BIOS., checking for hardware issues and also checking the event viewer. Apart from seeing what went wrong I am not able to find out what caused it. It isn't caused by any app because it has also froze when I randomly just leave the laptop on with no apps running. I have to usually use teams and so one thing I noticed was if I was in a call it would first show that my network has gone and then it would freeze. I am sure it is not caused by the app because I was able to run it smoothly for a few days until it started freezing. Is there anything else I can do?

    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.

    To better assist you regarding Windows 10 which freezes randomly, please provide the following:

    • Which is the last Windows update build you've applied to the computer?
    • Are there any third party applications that are currently installed?
    Furthermore, we suggest that you do a BIOS update to your computer. Here are the steps:

    • Check the motherboard manufacturer's website to find the specific model of your motherboard.
    • Go to the computer manufacturer's website.
    • Look for the computer model that you're using.
    • You should find any available BIOS update.

    Laptop Windows 10 Randomly Freezing

    I have a laptop with a little more to the specs. here are the mains

    • Intel Core i7 3rd Gen 3632QM (2.20 GHz)
    • 6 GB Memory 750 GB HDD
    • NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M
    • 1600 x 900
    • Windows 8 64-Bit
    • 8X DVD-Super Multi Double-Layer Drive
    My laptop has been randomly freezing after the most recent update "Security Update for Windows (KB4025342)" I'm uninstalling this update, because I feel it's what's causing me to freeze.
