Windows 10: My laptop got a drive error but even if I reformatted it, it would just load back to the...

I have this problem since November 6 of the afternoon. I was downloading an update for an app but it got interrupted halfway but retrying it worked and verifying the files didn't have any problems. But the problem occured once I opened the laptop again and opened that said application, the laptop got a notification that it has driver error and needs to be restarted. I did, it got its 'Scanning and Repairing the Drive' on the loading screen, yet it didn't help. And when I found the problem and deleted it, it will always go back to the state of that afternoon of Nov. 6. No matter how much i trie

Reformatting the c drive

• What the exact error message that you're getting when you try to reformat your C: drive?
• Why do you want to reformat your your C: drive?
• What troubleshooting steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
• Did you make any significant changes to your computer prior to the issue?

Recover or Reformat?

The reformat won't budge?

I did what you said and then was told to remove the CD from the CD-Rom Drive, put in the recovery CD and then press the 'OK' button to continue

So I changed to the next disk but the OK doesn't appear to be being 'pressed'. Yes I have pushed enter on the keyboard which is what I have been using to get me through the other steps..

Any suggestions?

 

Reformatting the c drive

I am formatting my c drive to remove all the junk from it and I have backed up everything that I need onto an external hard drive, but when I try to reformat the c drive it says that if I do so my PC will stop working because it cannot reformat that volume.
I don't have the windows cd or and cd that came with the laptop and I also only want to reformat my c drive and nothing else. i have windows 10. do you have any suggestions?
