Windows 10: My Laptop got infected by a virus and is stuck in a bsod loop now.

So, the other day I was downloading a program, I was suspicious about it and still downloaded it. Everything was fine until i shut down my computer, that's so, because when I opened it the next morning i got a blue screen crash that had a stop code: Unmountable Boot Volume. It restarted the pc for me and I thought it was just one crash and the pc would start but then i realized THAT IT WAS A LOOP and windows was only trying to boot for like 3 seconds and then that bsod screen would pop up. I got really scared... I tried everything from trying the F keys f1, f2, f3...f6, f7, etc.. to boot it

I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

I reinstalled Java, now its version is 64-bit. We have deleted and cleaned a lot of things. So I think I shouldn't think my PC is infected now. I thought silly about residual files, sorry for that. This infected virus disrupted my psychology. Anyway, is there any step to clean or do something else for harmful file or stuff in my PC?
