Windows 10: My laptop GPU is crashing

I have i7 8th gen laptop with integrated intel UHD 620 and dedicated Radeon R7 M440 graphics card. I am unable to do any gpu consuming tasks as when it switches to my dedicated graphics it crashes whatever the process. I tried unistalling the GPU amd one and its drivers and the apps and games runs fine without it with no crashes but well not enough fps. I tried using ddu and using the newest drivers after that but no luck it crashes after a few minutes in. Help would be next thing close to heaven.

Windows not detecting dedicated gpu at all on laptop

I have an ASUS FX505DT laptop. Just recently after starting up the pc as usual the gpu was not detected at all. The only evidence there is even a gpu there is that the drivers are installed in device manager. The driver is not reporting any problems. There is no setting to enable the gpu in bios, nor does it list the gpu in hardware information on the bios, only the integrated. It isn’t listed on dxdiag either. The pc crashes frequently.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.
